Troy Ave has been formally indicted by grand jury who has lifted murder charge from him. The rapper was arrested following the shooting backstage at T.I. concert at Irving Plaza, New York last month after a video surfaced of him shooting multiple shots from a gun.
Although Troy has avoided the murder charge, he has still been indicted on one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon. All of this could land him in prison for decades.
Troy’s bodyguard Ronald McPhatter was killed during the incident but it looks like they were not able to prove that Troy fired those shots from his weapon. His lawyers are expected to push for a bail in the next hearing.
