The music world hasn’t had a relaxing moment ever since Kendrick Lamar hinted on his ‘The Heart Pt. 4‘ song that he will be dropping a new project on April 7th, with the lyric “Y’all got ’til April the 7th to get y’all sh*t together.” He then came back with his single and music video ‘HUMBLE.‘ which went viral upon its release. The Mike WiLL Made It-produced song has been on repeat on fans’ playlists.
Fans were wondering, what if Kendrick doesn’t actually end up releasing an album on April 7? Well, that has happened but don’t worry, the new album is only a week away! The TDE rapper will release his fourth studio album, the follow up to the critically acclaimed To Pimp A Butterfly, on April 14th. Like most A-listers when releasing an album these days, K.Dot has also been very tight lipped about the project, not revealing any details whatsoever and letting the music speak for itself.
The track list is yet to be revealed but the iTunes pre-order shows 14 tracks with ‘HUMBLE.’ sitting at the #8 spot. It has the album title as “ALBUM”. Is this the actual name!? The cover is also a plain black photo so we aren’t sure if it’s the actual artwork or done like this to shield the real deal. We’ll have all our questions answered soon.
Below is a list of composers from the “get info” section of pre-order of the album. U2, James Blake, Mike WiLL Made It, 9th Wonder, DJ Dahi, Terrace Martin, Cardo, Anna Wise, BADBADNOTGOOD and Sounwave seem to have contributions on it.
