French Montana had a disaster of a release for his supposed sophomore album MC4 which leaked on to the internet last year despite being pushed back by the label. It came to a situation where he had to cancel the entire release and instead put it out for free as a mixtape.
The Coke Boys rapper then bounced back in a big way with his hit single ‘Unforgettable’ which has entered the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. It is the lead single off his sophomore album Jungle Rules which features guest appearances from Quavo, T.I., Young Thug, Pharrell and more. The Weeknd and Max B also assist the New York artist on the set’s follow up single ‘A Lie’, the music video for which was released on July 14th.
According to HitsDailyDouble, the Bad Boy/Epic Records set is project to move 45-50k copies in the first week with 13-18k out of that being pure sales. It should be enough to enter the top 3 of Billboard 200 later this week. Jay-Z’s 4:44 is expected to spend a second week at number 1.
What do you think about French Montana’s numbers?
