Drake Credited as Co-Writer on Kanye’s Song ‘Yikes’ From ‘Ye’

Ebro Says Kanye Was Originally Supposed To Be Featured on Drake’s ‘Nice For What’

The rumors were true. Drake was indeed involved in writing of Kanye West’s song ‘Yikes’ from his latest album ye.

Drake has been revealed as a lyricist and composer on the song, which serves as the official single off the ye album. There are 11 credited lyricists on ‘Yikes’ in total. Pie’rre Bourne and Apex Martin have also been credited as producers on the bouncy song. ‘Yikes’ samples the 1976 Black Savage song ‘Kothbiro‘. Check out the screenshots from TIDAL below.

Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97 had claimed shortly after ye came out that Drake was a writer on the song but hadn’t received any credit. There are more credits which have been added. Wiley and Skepta are now listed as composers and lyricists on the opening track ‘I Thought About Killing You’ while PARTYNEXTDOOR has been listed as a featuring artist, composer, and lyricist on ‘Wouldn’t Leave.’ Consequence, CyHi The Prynce, and Malik Yusef are credited as co-writers on various songs on ye.

On Pusha-T’s Daytona album which is produced entirely by Kanye West, Jay-Z is credited as composer and lyricist on ‘The Games We Play’ and ‘Infrared.’ Pusha-T interpolates Hov’s songs ‘Politics As Usual’ and ‘The Prelude’ respectively.

Earlier today, Pusha T revealed that he did have a conversation with J. Prince over deading the beef with Drake but he had not mentioned any “career ending” response on the phone call.
