Eminem released one of the best albums in his discography The Eminem Show 20 years ago today on May 26, 2002.
The legendary rapper announced earlier this week that The Eminem Show will be treated with a new expanded edition in celebration of its 20th anniversary. “‘Well, if you want Shady, this is what I’ll give ya…#TheEminemShow 20th Anniversary Expanded Edition drops Thursday 5/26,” Em captioned the teaser.
The Eminem Show served as the follow up to the very successful The Marshall Mathers LP and became his second career No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It went on to become the best-selling album of the year in both the U.S. and around the world. It also ended up becoming the second best-selling album of the 21st century, with 27 million units sold around the world. The RIAA has already certified it with 12x platinum status.
The rapper, who was recently inducted into the 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, has dropped a new edition where he has included a bunch of rare and unreleased songs including ‘Bump Heads’ featuring 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks & Tony Yayo and ‘Jimmy, Brian & Mike’.
The latter has been demanded by fans for many years so it’s great that the song is finally out in its entirety. It is reported to have been recorded around 1999 for The Marshall Mathers LP. Shady has also shared some live freestyles from different events in addition to instrumental versions of a few songs. Stream it above.
