Russ is really doing whatever he wants to at this point.
After a couple of commercial sounding singles, the rapper-singer offered fans a soft rock song called ‘Fire‘ last week which the fans appreciated. But now it’s back to Rap. Russ’ projects CHOMP and CHOMP 2 are a bit of a departure from his usual stuff because his only focus is to rap crazy over solid production.
There have been whispers about a CHOMP 3 being in the works but Russ has sort of surprised fans by releasing a 2.5 before that which is short of a full length project, at 6 songs. As expected, he’s got a big lineup on the production front: Boi-1da, Statik Selektah, 9th Wonder, Havoc, The Alchemist and 9th Wonder.
