Young Thug and Doja Cat released their respective new albums this past week across streaming platforms and available for direct physical sale too.
We all know that Thug has been in the news lately because of his ongoing tensions with Gunna and others, plus all the leaked private calls from jail that the world was able to hear. When the Atlanta rapper dropped his new album UY SCUTI, the buzz around the music was certainly low as he hasn’t had a song that has made an impact in a long time.
The first week sales projections are now in. UY SCUTI is expected to move 48k copies in the first week with just 2k out of that coming from pure sales. It will debut around the #7 mark on the Billboard 200 next week, reports HDD.
Doja Cat went for 80s pop sound with her newest set Vie which is looking at 59k first week. Her pure sales are better at 25k and is expected to debut at #5 on the chart. It is definitely a low number for someone like Doja.
Mariah Carey’s new album Here For It All is looking at a 65k opening week with pure sales accounting for 55k.
