With his third album 2014 Forest Hills Drive in stores now, J. Cole paid a visit to David Letterman’s show tonight. But instead of performing a new song from the LP, he paid a tribute to Mike Brown and Eric Garner with ‘Be Free‘, an emotional cut he released back in August. Watch his heartfelt performance below.

His album is on course to sell between 320-350k in the first week.

Last night, Power 106 held their annual Cali Christmas concert at The Forum in Inglewood. This year’s show had Tinashe, G-Eazy, Kalin And Myles, Lil Jon, Kid Ink, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Big Sean, T.I. and J. Cole performing. The show was packed with great performances. Big Sean brought out E-40 to perform ‘IDFWU‘ and J. Cole performed ‘Fire Squad’, a new song off of 2014 Forest Hills Drive for the first time.
