The VERZUZ battle continued tonight with 2 Chainz and Rick Ross going head to head with their respective catalog. This followed the epic showdown between DMX and Snoop Dogg two weeks ago.
The show was aired on Instagram Live as well as Apple TV/ Music as part of their new partnership with the company. Many thought that Ross would have a clear win in the competition but it was closer than we thought. Both artists peaked around the same era as far as music is concerned so it was a good trip memory lane to hear all the standout records from the two Southern acts.
At one point, the duo even had strippers joining them in the room — the rappers termed them “essential workers” while in another scene, Ross decided to get a massage from a lady. They both also shared new tracks that came out at midnight: 2 Chainz released ‘Money Maker‘ featuring Lil Wayne while Rozay shared ‘Pinned Me to the Cross‘.
