After the very successful battle between The LOX and Dipset at Madison Square Garden last month where Jadakiss came out as the real winner, VERZUZ decided to do another New York themed one tonight (Tuesday).
Fat Joe and Ja Rule went head to head in battle of hits where Joe was predicted to be a winner by a lot of fans. But in the end, it was Ja’s song selection and energy that got the best of Joe. During the competition at the Hulu Theater, Joe played songs liked ‘Flow Joe’, ‘My Lifestyle’, ‘The Enemy’ (Big L), ‘Twinz’ (Big Pun), ‘All The Way Up’ where he brought out Remy Ma, ‘Slow Down’ (Jeezy), ‘Don Cartagena’ (Diddy), ‘So Excited’ (Dre), the latest single ‘Sunshine‘, ‘Yes’ (with Cardi B), ‘I Won’t Tell’, ‘What’s Luv’, ‘Lean Back’ and more.
Ja countered with his bigger hits like ‘Mesmerize’, ‘New York’, ‘It’s Murda’, ‘Holla Holla’, ‘Can I Get A..’, ‘Livin it Up’, ‘Put it on Me’, ‘Thug Luvin’, ‘So Much Pain (2Pac), ‘Rainy Dayz’, ‘Destiny’, ‘Always on Time’, ‘I’m Real’, ‘I Cry’ and more.
