Now that 2021 is about to close, we now have the list of the best selling albums of 2021.
As we’ve previously mentioned, Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album takes the top spot this year with over 3 million copies moved. The controversial country star recently collaborated with Lil Durk on the single ‘Broadway Girls‘. The runner’s up spot belongs to Olivia Rodrigo’s breakout LP, Sour which has moved 2.7 million units this year. Drake’s Certified Lover Boy occupies the third place with just under 2 million.
Number 4 on the list, Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon is interesting because it’s an album that came out last July. It goes to show how well the project was received among fans and beyond. Although Adele’s 30 came well into the 4th quarter, it has still managed to rank #6 with about 1.5 million copies moved so far.

Take a look at the full list above, courtesy HDD. Taylor Swift is in the top 50 list numerous times as expected while Kanye West’s Donda is at #30 with just over 900k copies. One of the most surprising appearances is Eminem at number 49 with his greatest hits album, Curtain Call: The Hits which was released back in 2005. It has shifted a whopping 673k copies in 2021 alone.
