Mystikal has been arrested on rape and domestic charges in Louisiana.
The rapper, whose real name is Michael Tyler, has been arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on his third count of alleged sexual crimes which includes false imprisonment and first-degree rape.
According to a spokesman with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO), deputies responded to a local hospital in reference to a sexual assault on Saturday, July 30 just before midnight. According to the report, detectives interviewed the victim who had sustained minor injuries during the attack.
After some investigation, Mystikal was arrested and is now facing several charges including first-degree rape, simple robbery, domestic abuse battery – strangulation, false Imprisonment, and simple criminal damage to property. No Bond has been posted yet in his case.
Mystikal previously faced sexual crime allegations in 2004. He spent six years in jail following the arrest and was registered as a sex offender upon his release. The charges were dismissed by court due to lack of evidence in December, 2020.
