The murder of Nipsey Hussle in 2019 affected not only his fans, not only Hip-Hop culture, but the world as a whole. The impact that the late rapper had on his community cannot be overstated and in the years since his death, it’s great that advancements have still been made. The marathon continues, as they say.
This afternoon, we finally have news about some justice for Nipsey’s killer.
After being found guilty of first-degree murder last July, Eric Holder has now been sentenced to 60 years to life in prison. AP News reports that the Los Angeles judge gave Holder 25 years to life for the murder, 25 years fore a firearm sentencing enhancement and 10 years for assault with a firearm. Holder is 33 and will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.
