Fans have been eagerly waiting for Slaughterhouse to announce some sort of news about their major label sophomore album Glasshouse but they keep getting disappointed every year. Last year, Royce 5’9″ told HHNM that the album was done but there was no release date yet. “We don’t have a release date yet but we definitely have a full body of work done,” said the Detroit rapper. “We gonna go in after I finish what I’m rolling out right now and do some minor tweaks. We’re gonna try to put it out hopefully soon but we haven’t talked release dates yet.”
Royce did us a favor when he dropped a Slaughterhouse song ‘Chopping Block‘ as part of his Bar Exam 4 project, the first song from all four (Joe Budden, Royce 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I) in almost two years. But that wasn’t enough. Crooked I reignited the discussion a couple of days ago when he went on Instagram to tell fans that he was done waiting for a release of the album.

On today’s episode of Complex’s Everyday Struggle show, Joe Budden addressed the situation for the fans. Joey reiterated that the album was done a while ago with production from Just Blaze, !llmind, Cardiak, araabMUZIK and J.U.S.T.I.C.E League but there is some hold up on the corporate side which he doesn’t know about — or this is what he’s claiming at least. He falls short of pointing the finger at Shady Records or Interscope but says that he possesses the full album on his computer and might just leak it. “I will leak it. It they keep talking about this sh*t, I will leak it. All Joe Budden fans know I don’t have any problems leaking music,” threatened Budden. Watch the video below (he talks about it 40 seconds into it).
