Wale adds another #1 to the catalog. Today, the newly-signed Warner Bros act dethrones Meghan Thee Stallion and DaBaby’s “Cash Sh*t,” earning the #1 spot on Mediabase Urban Radio chart with his new hit, featuring Jeremih, “On Chill”. Reports show, “On Chill” beat out summer hits like Chris Brown’s “No Guidance,” DaBaby’s “Suge” and another Meghan The Stallion hit, “Hot Girl Summer” as Wale received ~5,443 spins during the September 22-28 tracking period, besting last week’s mark by 461.
In August, Wale released the LT Mo and Va-produced song’s visual. The song reaches the top spot within two months of its release back in July. Since “on Chill”, Wale has collaborated on new music with Eric Bellinger, ASAP Ferg, Buddy, and new sensation Guapdad 4000. Stream the song now via EBM/Warner Bros.
Shown below, Wale comments on the new number-one with the following tweet to fans, “They counted me out so many times … I laugh at them in “contra code” lmao that’s how many lives Folarin got. Another 1 and I’m Parkin it.. thank everybody for this one keep streaming and downloading and sing this at the top of your lungs on this tour. #onchill”.
