When Gucci Mane announced last week that he was doing a VERZUZ battle with Jeezy, fans could not believe it because of the two artists’ past history and when T.I. had been previously confirmed as the opponent to Jeezy.
But last night, the almost impossible happened when the face-off took place at Atlanta’s Magic City. Almost throughout the night, there was a tense energy in the room that had the fans worried for obvious reasons, especially when Gucci was determined to shoot shots by playing some of the diss songs he had against Jeezy back in the day.

Before ‘Gangsta Music’ was played, Jeezy refused to stand up from his chair. “That was cute,” was something that both said at different points in response to their rival’s performance. “I want y’all to praise my outfit,” Gucci said at one point. “It cost 10 bands. Look at my opponent! Look at my opponent!” Jeezy replied by saying that he owns half of Atlanta in real estate.
In the final round, the two rivals ended their feud live in front of millions of fans with a joint performance of ‘Icy‘, their collaboration from 2005. Gucci thanked Jeezy for extending the olive branch, and then announced they were going to the Compound Club for an after party together.
