Just like he does every time of this year, President Barack Obama has shared his playlist of songs that he’s been bumping this Summer.
It’s always interesting to see what Obama picks and this time is no different when it comes to variety — both genres and generations wise. He has picked recent hits like Silk Sonic’s ‘Leave The Door Open’, Migos’ ‘Straightenin’, Drake and Lil Baby’s ‘Wants and Needs’ but also classics like Stevie Wonder’s ‘If You Really Love Me’ and The Rolling Stones’ ‘Tumbling Dice’.
“With so many folks getting together with family and friends, there’s a lot to celebrate this summer. Here’s a playlist of songs I’ve been listening to lately—it’s a mix of old and new, household names and emerging artists, and a whole lot in between,” he wrote on Twitter while sharing the list.
Other artists that Obama mentions are Rihanna, Jay-Z, J. Cole, H.E.R., Erykah Badu, SZA, and even Pakistan-born, New York-based musician Arooj Aftab’s song ‘Mohabbat‘.
