I actually wasn’t planning to do this edition but I honestly got tired of answering questions on my Twitter & Email so I decided to just do a comprehensive report on the radio this week.
Rhythmic:
- B.o.B maintains his No.1 position with ‘Nothin On You’ but Usher is knocking at the doors at the No.2 spot with ‘OMG’.
- They’re followed by Rihanna’s ‘Rude Boy’, Ludacris’ ‘My Chick Bad’ and Drake’s ‘Over’ in that order.
- B.o.B’s 2nd single ‘Airplanes’ enters the Top 10 at 10. Jamie Foxx is next with ‘Winner’.
- Drake’s 2nd single ‘Find Your Love’ jumps to the No. 12 spot, up 12 spots this week. This is only his 2nd week on the radio. I think he got a smash.
- Eminem’s ‘Not Afraid’ is developing slower. He’s at No.21.
- Diddy-Dirty Money’s ‘Good Morning’ moves to 28 from 31. Yes, the track isn’t doing as great as it is being made to look.
- Nicki Minaj’s new single ‘Your Love’ enters the charts at No. 37.
- Top Adds this week: Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ with Snoop Dogg is the No.1 added song this week with 30 stations. That is followed by Drake’s ‘Find Your Love’ (18), Nicki Minaj’s ‘Your Love’ (17), Game’s ‘Ain’t No Doubt About It’ (13) and Ludacris’ ‘Sex Room’ (13).
- Special Mentions: Eminem: 8, Rick Ross: 3, J. Cole: 3, Lloyd Banks: 2.
- New adds this week include: Christina Aguilera – ‘Woo Hoo’ (Feat. Nicki Minaj), Jason Derulo – ‘Ridin Solo’, 3Oh!3 – ‘My First Kiss’ (Feat. Ke$ha), Seabstian – ‘Wobbley’.
Urban:
- Drake takes the top spot this week with ‘Over’.
- Trailing him are B.o.B’s ‘Nothin On You’, Alicia Keys’ ‘Un-Thinkable’ and Luda’s ‘Sex Room’ in that order.
- Young Jeezy’s ‘Lose My Mind’ with Plies enters the top 10 for the first time at 9.
- DJ Khaled’s ‘All I Do Is Win’ moves to 10 and T.I.’s ‘I’m Back moves to 11. Lloyd Banks also jumps to the no. 16 position.
- Drake’s ‘Find Your Love’ is doing well this side as well, moving to No.20 this week.
- Ciara’s ‘Ride’ is off to a slow start as it enters the chart at No.31.
- Top Adds this week: Nicki Minaj’s ‘Your Love’ is the top added song with 27 stations. I think its the right choice for a single, better than ‘Massive Attack’ anyway. Usher’s ‘OMG’ is close at 2nd with 25 adds. A surprise 3rd goes to Rocko whose new track ‘Maybe’ gets added by 21 stations. J Futuristic’s ‘Go Go Go’ with Lloyd is next with 17.
- New adds this week: Trey Songz – ‘Already Taken’, Juvenile – ‘Drop That Thang’, Lil Wayne – ‘I’m Single’, The-Dream – ‘Make Up Bag’, Lyfe Jennings – ‘Statistics’.
