Kendrick Lamar has created a huge buzz around himself with his two outstanding mixtapes O(verly) D(edicated) and Section 80 along with multiple co-signs from Top Dawgs. Now signed with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath imprint through Interscope/TDE, Kendrick is currently readying his first official debut album, due later this Summer.

The first single ‘The Recipe‘ featuring his new boss Dr. Dre is the surprise leader in number of adds on the Urban Radio this week with 27 adds, beating out Bei Maejor’s ‘Lights Down Low’ (23), B.o.B’s ‘Ray Bands’ (9) and G.O.O.D Music’s ‘Mercy’ (9). We hope it continues to do well.

Drake released the video for one of the most popular tracks from Take Care last week. The ‘HYFR (Hell Ya F***in Right)’ visual which is based on a scene of bar mitzvah received rave reviews from fans.

The news now comes in that the song will serve as the next official single from his platinum album, going for adds on April 24th. Do you think Drizzy will conquer the radio once more?

The critics panned it, the bloggers called it “falling off” but Nicki continues to win as her Pop single ‘Starships’ sold 174k copies this week, taking the total past 1 million mark in sales. It is set to become her most successful single since last year’s ‘Superbass’.

Also, her new single ‘Right By My Side‘ featuring Chris Brown is the most added song on radio this week.

50′s finally found a record which can do damage on the charts? His new single ‘I Just Wanna‘ is the most added song on Urban radio with 26 adds and also the most added when Urban & Rhythmic are combined with a total of 37, beating the likes of Nicki Minaj, Frank Ocean, B.o.B, Rihanna and Chris Brown. Do you think it has the potential to become a hit?

‘The Motto’ from Drake’s Take Care has already been gaining steam on the radio and hence it was only right that it was released as a single. With the video coming soon, the song will be officially added on the stations on January 10th.

Another popular cut, ‘Take Care’ featuring Rihanna has been picked as a promo single for the radio going for adds sometime in January.
