Frank Ocean and his label Def Jam have finally decided on the next single from the singer’s debut album Channel ORANGE. The Gold selling and Grammy Award winning disc has spawned the Platinum hit ‘Thinking Bout You’ and now he’s moving on to ‘Super Rich Kids’ featuring fellow Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt.

‘Super Rich Kids’ managed to become the most added song on Urban radio today. Can this have the same success as ‘Thinking Bout You’ ?

The follow up to The Game’s decent performing single ‘Celebration’ was ‘I Remember‘ featuring Young Jeezy and Future which failed to do anthing special on the charts but Jayceon has decided to move on the third one which will be ‘All That (Lady)’.

The song features Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Fabolous & Jeremih and samples D’Angelo’s ‘Lady‘. It is my personal favorite track from Jesus Piece which will impact radio on February 19th. Can it strike big?

The 4th quarter isn’t far from over but the radio is buzzin’ with plenty of new releases on the Rhythmic and Urban side so it makes sense for me to write a new edition of Play It On The Radio. 50 Cent’s ‘My Life‘ is off to a really good start with the single taking the spot for the “most added song” this week. It also debuts at #4 on Billboard Hot Digital Songs with sales of 140k. Without any further delay, please proceed below to know what’s cookin’ on the airwaves.

I’m back folks. I’ll be honest — Last couple of months have been quite dry on the radio with very few unpredictable developments taking place but as we are approaching the 4th quarter of 2012, things are definitely looking more exciting. Let’s have a look at what’s cooking right now.

Previous: #36

RHYTHMIC:

- Kanye leads the charts with ‘Mercy’. Rihanna’s ‘Where Have You Been’ and Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Work Hard Play Hard’ follow at number 2 and 3 spots respectively.
- Flo Rida’s ‘Whistle’ moves inside the top 10 at #8 this week. The song is currently #1 on Billboard Hot 100.
- Meek Mill’s ‘Amen’ is rising slow but steady and lands at #14 this week while Justin Bieber makes a move to 15 with ‘As Long As You Love’ featuring Big Sean.

This doesn’t come as a huge surprise to us, considering the quality of the song. 50 Cent’s latest single ‘New Day‘ featuring Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys is off to a flying start on the radio as it is the most added song with 21 adds on Rhythmic and 28 on the Urban side, beating out the likes of Mariah Carey, Trey Songz, Chris Brown and Keyshia Cole.

The Dr. Dre produced song is the first single off 50′s upcoming 5th studio album Street King Immortal and debuted at #79 on Billboard Hot 100 last week. The single will impact Top 40 radio on August 28th.

Now available on iTunes.

Nicki Minaj is still going strong on her Platinum certified sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Her current single ‘Pound The Alarm‘ is steadily rising on Top 40 radio but she has another one planned for the Urban side. ‘I Am Your Leader’ featuring Cam’ron and Rick Ross will serve as the follow up single to ‘Beez In The Trap’ with the video being currently shot by director Colin Tilley. Good choice?
